In this post, I will give my personal and professional attitude to the statements below, which I have so often come across!
I want to highlight the five most essential points that, in my opinion, are fundamental to the success of online learning and knowledge sharing.
- 'I do not use online courses, online learning, or online meetings in my business because I'm afraid of losing the relationship and contact with my customers, members, or employees ....'
Easy & Accessible
This is the first steps to getting started at all
Your customers or employees must be able to see and access online resources and knowledge - Without any friction. They must perceive the online universe as a real opportunity and NOT an obstacle.
If cumbersome procedures or logins block the entrance to the online universe, you won't get started at all!
If the entry does not fit into the company's other systems and layout or is invisible/challenging to find and manage, then the battle is lost in advance.
Learning for the Future - Mobile-First-Design - In Your Pocket!
The future 0f learning and knowledge sharing is in your pocket!
This method means that you can access your learning and knowledge resources just as easily as checking your weather app or online banking right from your phone!
Mobile-first design means that the underlying layout and the designed system with all its features, can be accessed via the phone - it is not only responsive but directly designed for the mobile.
Simple & Clear Frame!
Create a clear and precise framework for online learning and knowledge sharing.
If a participant cannot immediately access the resources and precisely find what he/she is looking for within a relatively short time, he/she becomes distracted, loses overview and motivation.
A simple framework for learning, with built-in progression and support, gives meaning and value to the participant.
The content should be packed and framed with a step-by-step overview and explanations.
The participant will have the opportunity to concentrate on the content and process - WITHOUT logging in to 7 different systems or watch 50 videos to find the right information.

All resources, knowledge, tasks, results, and meetings must be visible and accessed from the same system. The designed system is organized to create the best learning conditions and follow-up on opportunities for both participants, teachers, and administrators.

Create the optimal learning framework, playing field, and content, with the opportunity for both solo work, collaboration, and support. Here your participants can dribble around by themselves and make use of the resources, at the right time, in the right amount and the right place.

The future of digitalization and the use of online resources in a learning process means that we are blasting some solid framework, such as time, place, and frequency.
Focus is a shared learning goal, with individual concerns and new opportunities for support and testing.
Value and sustainability is created in the form of reduced transport time and efficient working hours.
That time can instead be spent on implementation, testing, and training of skills, instead of sitting in a car on the road and emitting CO2.
Shouldn't we meet?
But should we NEVER meet? You probably ask now.
Of course, we should meet - this is where the magic arises!
When we are talking, digitalization, online courses, and online learning, the notion is that you are sitting alone in front of your screen without contact or interaction — entirely left by yourself.
The learning room or meeting room, where you can distinguish between face-to-face and online teaching, is crucial here!
Face-to-face is often perceived as the physical meeting in a physical space (on-site), whereas the online teaching/meeting is seen as NOT a face-to-face meeting!
BUT the boundaries are blurred in the online space if active participation, involvement, and engagement are met.
The online live session becomes a face-to-face meeting!
Online or On-Site?
If you use online live sessions as an active and strategic framework for the learning process and the meeting, you get a personal relationship and contact.
And yes - you can be an active participant in an online meeting or focus on interaction, feedback, or guidance in an online learning process/ online course.
Incorporating and planning your online learning experience with live sessions (either on-site or online) adds a whole different dimension and quality to your online learning.

My experience has shown me that communication and relationships really can be cultivated and developed when we use technology and digital opportunities smartly and educationally.
But it must be simple - with structure, personality, and quality!
